A Bouquet Card

I keep seeing these darling cards that are a flower pot full of flowers and decided to sit down tonight to see if I could come up with one of my own.

I grabbed some Kraft brown paper and a new cuttlebug embossing folder that I got last week and went to work.  A little brown ink and it looks like a flower pot.   So far so good.

Next up was trying to decide what paper to use for the flowers in my pot.  I always have a problem picking patterned paper to use in my projects but this time I know exactly what paper I wanted to use.  I love blue and yellow together and I have a blue and yellow paper pad that I am always trying to use in my projects and it just never seems to work out.  But tonight I used it for my flowers along with my cricut and Walk in My Garden cartridge.  I  also had exactly the right buttons for the middles, along with some pretty blue ribbon.

So without further ado.....here is the card that I made.

4th of July card

Wow, it's been a few days since I posted anything but I have good reasons. Friday night we has a ball with the kids and their friends. Lots of yummy snacky foods & drinks. We also played a really fun game called "Imagine if..." It was a pretty nice night for a change and Martin built a fire in our outdoor fire pit. Everyone was here until about midnight. We all had a great time.

But Saturday morning I was dragging. Not use to staying up so late. Must be getting old (not). Didn't get too much done during the day and Saturday night Martin & Kendall went to a baseball game and I stayed home and read a book.

Sunday was a much better day, I baked a cake and worked on my 4th of July centerpiece. Just about finished and it's out coming very cute. Everything was good until in the afternoon and then the dreaded migraine started. And it stayed until last night....ugh!!! God, I hate having headaches. So I've been pretty useless until today.
Today I came home after work and came up with this little card to send to Jenna for 4th of July. It is some of the leftovers that I had from my centerpiece. Came out pretty cute!

So I need to make a couple of more cards for the 4th of July and that's what I am working on tonight. But it sure doesn't feel like it's getting close to July around here. Don't know about where your at but here what I am seeing tonight when I look out my scraproom window.

Nice, huh? I sure wish Summer would hurry up and get here. Before it's time for fall to arrive.

Well I am off to make some more cards.

Just a simple card

This is a card that I made with my new Cricut Expression and the Wild Card cartridge. It's for my niece Jenna. Her and I send cards back and forth all the time. Love hearing from her. I love the ribbon that I ended putting on here at the last minute, really makes the flowers stand out. I am still not sure how to use the Wild Card cartridge but then I haven't had alot of time to play with it either.

Really looking forward to the 3 day weekend coming up. I plan on spending alot of time in the scrap room. I have a girlfriend coming over on Saturday for a day of scrapbooking and fun. I would really like to get our Disneyland album done. I am also planning on purging my scrap room alittle this weekend. My closet is starting to look a little stuffed so I need to go through stuff in there and decide what to keep and what I can get rid of. Hopefully I can get things cleaned up and more organized. I'll let you know how it goes.
